SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ—GMC Hoops has received word from the National Weather Service via WeatherBug that Middlesex County is now under a Winter Storm Warning rather than a Winter Storm Advisory as it was earlier.
The storm system ratcheting up from the Ohio Valley is bringing mixed precipitation as it heads toward crossing the area later on tonight. Already the snow has changed to sleet across the region, and that is expected to change over to a cold rain as the afternoon progresses. An accumulation of 2 to 4 inches is expected over the area along with perhaps some ice accumulation before things finally taper off tonight.
Two games including Bishop Ahr at Highland Park, and South River at Spotswood have been postponed with the Trojans rescheduled to visit the Owls on January 7th and the Rams to take on the Chargers on December 30th.
