Monroe Plays Well At Rider Team Camp

Purple Birds Go 5-1 Over The Weekend At Rider University

SOUTH AMBOY, NJ–On Monday night, GMC Hoops learned from Monroe boys basketball head coach, Bob Turco, that the Falcons went 5-1 over the weekend at the Rider Team Camp. The Falcons, which recently went undefeated at the East Brunswick Team Camp, and finished 6-2 in the Rebounds Spring League, defeated Columbia, Hunterdon Central, Mater Dei, Moorestown, and Hopewell Valley while only losing to Summit by a few points. So far this off-season, the Falcons are 28-5 in 33 games only losing to Neptune and Manasquan in the Rebounds Spring League, Linden in the Scarlet Shootout, Cranford in the Elizabeth Summer League, and Summit. The Purple Birds are looking to be a very formidable team for the upcoming 2009-10 season.
