2009 GMC Hoops College Coverage–Results–November 20th

ALLENTOWN, PA–On Friday afternoon, GMC Hoops took a long drive out to Allentown, Pennsylvania to see the first game of the Scotty Wood Tournament between William Paterson College and Moravian. Former Old Bridge standout, Tim Lucas led the way for the Pioneers with 9 points in the first half, and then 10 points in the first 4:05 in the second half to come away with a game high 19 points along with a tournament record 9 steals in the 75-45 rout.

Colonia’s Nick Allan got into the game with 12:21 to go, and converted a three point play at the 10:10 mark, and then made two free throws with 1:02 left for William Paterson, which improved to 2-0 on the young season. Meanwhile, East Brunswick’s Alec Mayo got some playing time for Moravian, and swiped a steal for a layup with 40 seconds left to close out the scoring. GMC Hoops plans to travel down to Center City, Philadelphia to see Drexel take on former Metuchen standout, and two time America East player of the year, Marqus Blakely next Friday.
