SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–On Friday, GMC Hoops had a very big day as it covered both a college basketball game, and a football contest. First, the site headed over to Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania to see William Paterson take on Moravian in the opening round of the Scotty Wood Tournament. After that game, the site got back into the car, and headed over to Ridge High School in Basking Ridge to see the semifinal football game in the North Jersey Section 2 Group IV State Tournament between Woodbridge and Ridge.
In total, GMC Hoops traveled about four hours on the road in getting to both events, or about 165 miles. It was the third time in a year that the web site headed out to Pennsylvania for an event. Last November, GMC Hoops traveled to Philadelphia University to kick off its college hoops coverage. Then, this past July, the site drove out to Reading, Pennsylvania to see action from the 2009 Hoop Group Elite Team Camp at Albright College. This past week, the site saw three college basketball games, and one high school football game. This coming week is expected to be just as busy with at least two football games on tap along with a college hoops game. The weather and work schedule could be a factor in whether or not more will be seen.
