GMC Gridiron–Video Highlights–J.P. Stevens @ Edison–Thanksgiving Day

Here are the video highlights from today’s game between the Hawks of J.P. Stevens and the Eagles of Edison. This contest was pretty much all Stevens. After being scoreless for most of the first quarter, Edison muffed a punt from Charles Conley to set up the first touchdown of the game early in the second on a keeper by Dahmill Bowles. Later on in the period, Bowles threw a huge completion downfield on fourth down to set up his second score on a keeper, and after Conley recovered a fumbled pitch to score on the two point conversion, the Hawks went into the locker room at halftime up 14-0.

In the third quarter, Conley faked a handoff on second down, and then ran left for a huge gain up the Stevens sideline. Several plays later, on fourth down, Bowles passed to Conley in the end zone for a touchdown that made the score 21-0. Joe Pacifico would catch a touchdown pass on fourth and goal in the fourth quarter to put the Eagles on the board, but Edison wouldn’t get any closer. After missing the extra point, and not recovering the ensuing onsides kick, the Eagles yielded a 40 yard run by the Hawks Joel Shumate to close out the scoring in a 28-6 victory for the Hawks. Enjoy the highlights.
