2010 Monroe Sports Center Fall League–Some Results–Week Four–October 6th

MONROE, NJ–On Wednesday night, GMC Hoops traveled down to the Monroe Sports Center for the second time ever to see action from the fourth week of games in the fall league being run there. The site saw action from four games, and got results from six. Below are the results of the six games:

2010 Monroe Sports Center Fall League–Some Results–Week Four–October 6th

  • South River 47–Marlboro 46–Rams trailed 36-29 with 13:30 remaining, and rallied to win with a 18-10 surge capped by a Craig Huff putback of a Kyle Majewski miss with four seconds left after a steal by Tyler Harris.
  • Monroe 57–Steinert 53–Ryan Genevieve made a three pointer with 32.3 seconds left, and then made two foul shots with 8.9 seconds left to seal a 57-53 Falcons win. Steinert trailed 47-32 with 12:08 to go, but took a 53-52 lead with under a minute to play.
  • Hunterdon Central 39–South Amboy 19–Guvs had more turnovers (20) than points in this one, and shot 7 of 37 from the field in the loss. Dustin DeVoe led South Amboy with 9 points and 8 rebounds.
  • New Egypt 51–J.F. Kennedy 41–The Mustangs fell behind 20-4 with seven minutes to go in the first half, but rallied against the Warrior reserves with a 15-6 spurt to close the gap to 26-19 at the intermission. However, New Egypt started the second half with a 12-0 spurt, and were never threatened after that.
  • Princeton 39–Robbinsville 33
  • Shore Regional 54–Allentown 33
