2010 Monroe Sports Center Fall League–Some Results–Week Five–October 13th

MONROE, NJ–On Wednesday night, GMC Hoops traveled down to the Monroe Sports Center for the third time this fall to see action from the fifth week of games in the fall league being run there. The site saw action from three games, and got results from four. Below are the results of the four games:

2010 Monroe Sports Center Fall League–Some Results–Week Five–October 13th

  • Monroe 60–South River 37–The Falcons jumped out to a 37-14 lead, and were never threatened in a easy victory over the Rams to remain undefeated this fall.
  • Perth Amboy 62–Allentown 53 OT–The Panthers had a 47-33 lead with just under 14 minutes to go, but the Redbirds rallied to force overtime with a three pointer at the 12.8 second mark that capped a 20-6 rally, and tied the score at 53-53. However, Amboy scored all 9 points in the extra session including four points from Wancel Arias, and a layup by Yoelbin Sanchez for the victory.
  • J.F. Kennedy 28–South Amboy 23–The Mustangs trailed 12-8 at the half after shooting 2 of 24 from the floor, but A.J. Pichalski scored 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in the final 20 minutes while Nick Spoganetz added 7 points and 4 boards to key a 20-11 surge for the win. Pichalski, who also had two blocks and a steal, ended up with a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds along with a block as he made 4 of 10 shots from the floor and 5 of 7 from the foul line in the win. Spoganetz ended up with 11 points and 7 boards as the veteran duo accounted for 83 percent of JFK’s offense. The Mustangs also attacked the boards with a 48-27 advantage including a 20-7 edge on the offensive glass. Kennedy also had 10 second chance points versus none for the Guvs. Aaron Radich led South Amboy with 9 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, an assist, and a block..
  • Hunterdon Central 49–Robbinsville 28
