2010 Immaculata Fall League–Week Five–Some Results–October 17, 2010

BRANCHBURG, NJ–On Sunday night, GMC Hoops traveled over to Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg to take in some of the action from the fifth night of the 2010 annual Immaculata Fall League. The site saw two of the five games played at RVCC, and both involved GMC teams. The GMC lost both contests that we saw. Below are the results from the two contests:

  • Hillsborough 76–Piscataway 55–Trailing 13-9 with 15:32 to go in the first half, the Raiders went on a 28-12 surge to end the first half to take a 37-25 lead at the intermission, and then pulled away from a 55-46 lead with 12:59 remaining with a 21-9 tear to get the 21 point win. Hillsborough scored 22 points off of 17 P-Way turnovers, outrebounded the Chiefs by a 37-26 margin including a 16-11 edge in the offensive boards, and scored 18 second chance points. The Raiders made 32 of 66 shots for 48 percent while limiting the Chiefs to 24 of 58 shooting for 41 percent. Senior guard, Anthony Greene led the Chiefs with 13 points on 5 of 7 shooting from the floor including a three pointer, and 2 of 4 from the line while collecting 4 assists, 2 rebounds, and an assist.
