New Egypt jumped out to a 17-5 lead as they shot 7 of 16 from the floor over the first 8:59 while limiting Monroe to just 2 of 13 shooting, and never really looked back after that. The Falcons rallied late in both halves to make the game more respectable. The Warriors, which shot 23 of 53 from the floor overall, went 9 of 18 from three point range and outscored the Falcons 27-15 from beyond the arc. Mark Przyzbylkowski helped lead the Warriors with 12 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists while Desmond Hubert added 9 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Victor Sorrento led Monroe with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and a charge while Ryan Genevieve chipped in with 8 points, 5 steals, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.
  • Marlboro 40–South Amboy 39–Heartbreaking loss for the Guvs. With the score tied at 31-31 with 4:30 to play, Dustin DeVoe connected on a three pointer to put South Amboy ahead. The Guvs remained in front until the 12.3 second mark when Marlboro got a layup and drew a foul. The Mustangs missed the bonus free throw, and the score was tied at 37-37 before Aaron Radich got a layup as he was fouled, but also missed the bonus foul shot for a 39-37 lead with five seconds left. Following a timeout, Marlboro got the ball upcourt for a three pointer from way out on the right wing as time expired for the one point win.
  • Spotswood 46–Notre Dame 38–First time GMC Hoops got a chance to see the Chargers play this fall, and they came away with a victory over the Irish. Spotswood pulled away from a 36-31 lead with 6:31 to play with a 10-7 finish to pull out the hard fought victory. • J.F. Kennedy 40–Robbinsville 36–For the second week in a row, the Mustangs came away victorious. It wasn’t easy though. The Colonial Valley Conference school had a 12-5 run in the first half to break away from a 9-9 tie to take a 21-14 lead at one point, but JFK didn’t give up with an 18-11 surge over the next 15 minutes to take a 32-28 lead with 7:30 to play. Kennedy held a 36-33 lead with two minutes left, and Robbinsville made it a one point game on a three pointer from the right wing with 52 seconds left, but Jordan Toczynski sank two free throws at the 40.9 mark, and A.J. Pichalski made one of two from the line with 25.6 left to seal the four point win.
