2010 Immaculata Fall League–Week Seven–Some Results–November 7th

SOMERVILLE, NJ–On Sunday night, GMC Hoops returned to Immaculata to take in some of the action from the sixth night of the 2010 annual Immaculata Fall League. The site saw two of the five games played at IHS, and both involved GMC teams. The GMC split the contests that we saw. Below are the results from the two contests:

2010 Immaculata Fall League–Week Six–Some Results

  • Hillsborough 57–South Plainfield 38–For the first 23:40, the Tigers hung tough despite being undermanned. However, the five player SPHS squad wore down against the deeper Hillsborough Raiders. Leading 25-24 with 18:20 to go in the contest, South Plainfield succumbed to a 32-13 Raider surge to close the game including a 15-2 tear over a span of 4:53 to lose by 19. Hillsborough led by over 20 at one point in the second half. The Raiders forced 20 SPHS turnovers that they converted into 18 points while crashing the boards for a 42-25 edge including a 20-7 advantage on the offensive glass that resulted in an 11-2 edge in second chance points. Joe Skwiat led the Tigers in a losing cause with a team high 16 points (all scored in the first half) along with 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. Bryant Rosario also contributed with 13 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, a block, and a charge. Denzel Mensah only had two points, but collected 12 rebounds, 5 blocks, 4 steals, and an assist.
  • Watchung Hills over Bishop Ahr by six.
