Here are video highlights from South Plainfield’s 52-48 victory over East Brunswick in the semifinals of the 2011 Perth Amboy/GMC Freshmen Tournament. Jordan Lackey led SPHS with 18 points including 15 in the first half. Lackey scored the first seven points of the game. The Little Tigers jumped out to an 11-0 first quarter lead, and led 25-14 at the intermission, but EB rallied behind the three point shooting of Joe Genco (13 points) and Anthony Belgrave (14 points) to pull within one at 39-38 after three. However, despite poor free throw shooting, the Tigers were able to come away with the four point win to advance to the championship against top seeded St. Joseph’s-Green.
