ELIZABETH, NJ–After being at the Linden Summer League for the 4:30 PM game between Linden and Colonia, GMC Hoops headed north into nearby Elizabeth to take in the 6:00 PM game between Sayreville and Moore Catholic of Staten Island. The Mavericks went on a 14-2 tear over the final 5:05 of the first half to turn a 22-14 deficit into a 28-24 halftime lead. Then, leading by three entering the fourth period, Moore Catholic opened the final frame with a 16-4 tear to take a 59-44 lead en route to a 63-55 win.
