RAHWAY, NJ–On Friday night, GMC Hoops traveled over to Rahway High School to capture action from the final three games on the eleventh day of the 2011 Rahway Summer League. One of the games was between Dunellen and Woodbridge.
The Destroyers spotted Woodbridge a 4-0 lead, but then outscored the Barrons by a margin of 19-7 to take a 19-11 lead en route to a 20-14 halftime advantage. Dylan Hoski led the way with 14 points in the first half. WHS responded in the early second half with a 10-4 spurt over the first 5:13 to tie the game at 24-24.
However, Dunellen gradually pulled away after that with a 15-7 spurt over a span of 12:42 to take a 39-31 lead with a little more than a minute left. The Barrons climbed to within 41-36, but ran out of time as the Destroyers pulled out the 43-36 victory. Below is the play by play from the game.
