COLONIA, NJ–On Monday night, GMC Hoops traveled over to Colonia Middle School after work to take in the final game of the opening round quadrupleheader in the playoffs from the 2011 Colonia JV Summer League. It was quite a battle as ninth seeded South Plainfield almost overcame a 16-6 first half deficit, and a 36-22 second half deficit, but eighth seeded Colonia was able to come away with the 41-38 win to advance to the quarterfinals to play top seeded St. Mary’s of Elizabeth.
