ALLENTOWN, NJ–To round out the night of the second day of action at the 2011 Summer Prime Time Shootout in the Upper Freehold District of Monmouth County, GMC Hoops took in the contest between Pennsbury and Middle Township. The Falcons and Panthers got entangled in quite a contest that went down to the wire.
Middle Township of the Cape Atlantic League jumped out to a 35-21 lead with 2:24 to go in the first half thanks to a 29-13 surge, but Pennsbury responded with a 19-2 tear over a span of 10:54 to take its first lead since 8-6 midway through the first half. From there it was a back and forth battle that was capped with both teams hitting threes in the final five seconds. Pennsbury got the 50-49 win though when it sank a trey from the right wing as time expired. Below is the play-by-play from the contest.
