Here are some video highlights from the North Jersey Section 2 Group IV Championship game between Piscataway and Elizabeth from High Point Solutions Stadium on the Busch Campus of Rutgers University. The Chiefs and Minutemen went at it in one of the most memorable sectional championships in recent memory. Led by running back Tevin Shaw, who rushed 34 times for 304 yards, Piscataway had a 34-20 lead with less than 11 minutes to go in the game.
However, Phillip Walker and Elijah Hughes used their talent and athletic ability to help EHS knot the game at 34-34 with 3:13 remaining. Elizabeth then got an interception, but Kyle LaPorte returned the favor by picking off a Hughes pass, and returned it to the 27 yard line with 32 seconds left. Shaw then ran for a 27 yard TD with 18 seconds left for the 41-34 win. It was the eight sectional title for P-Way, and the first time ever that Elizabeth lost in a final.
