KENILWORTH, NJ–On Thursday afternoon, GMC Hoops got started on its pre-season scrimmage schedule with a trip out to David Brearley Regional High School to see Wardlaw-Hartridge take on the Bears. The site saw 26:48 of the 32 minutes in this contest. David Brearley won three of the four quarters, and won overall by the score of 32-22. Justen Davis recorded a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Rams. Below is the play-by-play from the last three plus quarters of the scrimmage.
First Quarter
2:48–arrive…Wardlaw leads 5-3.
1:51–DB–scores on layup to tie game at 5-5.
0:25–DB–takes 8-5 lead on three pointer from right wing
0:15–WH–Justen Davis draws foul, and makes free throw for 8-6 score.

Second Quarter

7:43–WH–Davis draws another foul, and makes FT for 1-0 lead.

6:15–DB–knocks in three pointer from left corner for 3-1 lead.
5:35–DB–drives left across key for scoop shot layup, and a 5-1 lead.
