DUNELLEN, NJ–On Friday, GMC Hoops saw its second scrimmage of the pre-season when it traveled over to The Faber in Dunellen to see the Destroyers take on South Plainfield. Both the JV and varsity scrimmages were close contests with both schools splitting the six total quarters of action between both exhibitions. Below are the results of those two scrimmages:

- Dunellen 34–South Plainfield 28–Both teams won two quarters each.
- Dunellen 10–South Plainfield 9–JV Scrimmage–Both teams won a quarter
