GMC Hoops Highlights–December 17, 2011–Plainfield vs. St. Benedict’s–Hoop Group Tip-Off Classic

Here are the video highlights from the game played between third ranked Plainfield and second ranked St. Benedict’s on the first day of action at the Hoop Group Tip-Off Classic in West Orange. In a contest with 10 lead changes and five ties, Tyler Ennis putback a missed free throw by Denzel Taylor with 5.8 seconds left to give the Grey Bees a 67-65 victory. Melvin Johnson was team MVP for St. Bennie’s with a game high 29 points while Yale bound Justin Sears turned in a monster performance for the Cardinals with 21 points, 15 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Jahmal Lane chipped in 18 points and 3 blocks for Plainfield while Kamall Richards had a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds, and Isaiah Briscoe added 14 points for the winners.
