Three GMC Schools And Familiar Foe From DC Area Featured In This Tourney
ISELIN, NJ–Last week, GMC Hoops obtained the schedule for the 2011 Gene Haley Memorial Tournament, which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday this week at J.F. Kennedy High School.
Three schools from the Greater Middlesex Conference: Carteret, Edison, and J.F. Kennedy will be competing in this year’s tournament along with H.D. Woodson from Washington D.C.
The school from our nation’s capital is visiting Middlesex County for the second straight year after coming up on opening weekend last year to play both Piscataway and Cardinal McCarrick. Below is the schedule for this year’s tourney.
2011 Gene Haley Memorial Tournament–Opening Round–December 27th
- H.D. Woodson (D.C.) vs. J.F. Kennedy, 11:00 AM
- Edison vs. Carteret, 12:30 PM
2011 Gene Haley Memorial Tournament–Consolation and Championship–December 28th
- Consolation: J.F. Kennedy-H.D. Woodson loser vs. Edison-Carteret loser, 11:00 AM
- Championship: J.F. Kennedy-H.D. Woodson winner vs. Edison-Carteret winner, 12:30 PM
GMC Hoops plans to be at Kennedy on Tuesday to cover both games.
