Here are video highlights from the second crossover game of the season in the Greater Middlesex Conference between Dunellen and Spotswood from the Spotswood Athletic Center on the campus of Spotswood High School. The Chargers broke away from a 39-32 late third quarter lead with a 17-5 tear over the last ten minutes of the game for a 56-37 victory.
Spotswood and Dunellen combined for 15 three pointers with the Chargers getting the lion’s share to outscore the Destroyers by a margin of 33-12 from long distance. Junior guard, Dalonte Grant led all scorers with a game high 24 points including five three pionters for Spotswood while teammate and senior Tommy Soulias chipped in with 17 points and four three pointers.
Sophomore Jake Dadika, a transfer from St. Joseph’s, also contributed for the winners with 8 points including two threes and 6 assists. Sean Gibney and Dylan Hoski led Dunellen in a losing cause with 11 points each.
