GMC Hoops Play-By-Play–J.P. Stevens vs. South Plainfield–Cotoia Tourney–Opening Round–December 26, 2011

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–In the nightcap of the opening round of action in the 2011 Anthony J. Cotoia Tournament at South Plainfield High School, the hometown Tigers faced off against J.P. Stevens. After taking a 12-9 first quarter lead, SPHS was outscored 38-7 over a span of 14:53 as Stevens rolled to a 47-19 lead. From there, the Hawks coasted to a 56-37 victory. South Plainfield was held without a field goal for 15:38 in the loss. Joe Skwiat was a bright spot for the Tigers with 10 points and 8 rebounds while Brandon Ahmed (15 points and 10 rebounds), Sky Harris (13 points and 5 rebounds), and Marvin Crawford (10 points) stood out for Stevens.
