DUNELLEN, NJ–On Wednesday night, GMC Hoops traveled over to The Faber Gymnasium in Dunellen to see the Destroyers take on Gold Division rival, Timothy Christian in the key clash. DHS took a 12-9 lead late in the first quarter only to get outscored by a margin of 19-5 over the final 9:20 of the half for a 28-17 TCS lead. Dan Decker scored 16 points including four threes in the first half while Kristian Svendsen added 8. Deckeer then opened the second half with a three for a 31-17 lead as the Tigers went up by 20 at one point in the third before Dunellen put together a 28-14 surge to pull within six at 53-47 with 1:10 left. However, TCS wouldn’t let the home team get any closer with a 59-51 victory. Below is the play-by-play from the contest.
