MONROE, NJ–In the nightcap round of games on Wednesday night at MSC, East Brunswick took on New Egypt. The young Bears featuring many players from their JV squad last year, gave a good fight in the first half as they only trailed 22-17 at the break. However, New Egypt put the game away in the second half with a good combination of scrappiness, offensive rebounding, and three point shooting to put together a 33-13 surge over the first 18 minutes of the half for a 55-30 lead en route to a 57-37 victory. Greg Sampson and Jair Davis stood out for the Bears in the loss. Below is play-by-play from the contest.
