MONROE, NJ–While South River was rolling past New Egypt on the Red Court in the other Tuesday night game at MSC, Spotswood was entangled in a battle with Franklin on the Yellow Court. The Chargers fell behind 6-2 early before putting together a 22-7 tear over a span of 11:19 to take a 24-13 lead with six and a half minutes to go in the first half. Franklin battled back to pull within two late in the first half, and within one with 3:25 remaining, but could never retake the lead as Spotswood won, 43-40. Jamal Lewis (9 of Spotswood’s 13 points in 2nd half) and Dalonte Grant (16 points including 4 threes in first half) led the attack for the Chargers.
