EDISON, NJ–On Tuesday night, GMC Hoops opened up its college hoops coverage with a trip over to the Physical Education Center on the main campus of Middlesex County College to see the Colts in Region 19 JUCO action against Bergen Community College. Bergen jumped out to a 34-17 lead within the first eleven and a half minutes of the game, and didn’t let MCC get any closer than 11 points the rest of the way while leading by as many as 24 in the second half en route to the 81-65 victory. Magdy Assawi of South River and Bryant Webb of Sayreville were bright spots in the loss to Bergen for MCC. Below are notes from the final 28:30 of the contest.
