PISCATAWAY, NJ–On Saturday afternoon, the final semifinal state playoff game involving a GMC school took place as the third seeded Piscataway Chiefs hosted seventh seeded Bridgewater-Raritan at Dominic A. Ciardi Field. The Chiefs did everything right on this day as they jumped out to a 21-0 halftime lead, and then blew the game open in the second half for a 49-0 win. Nadir Barnwell run for a touchdown and threw for another while getting an interception and strip. Cameron Nash run for two scores. Kyle LaPorte caught a TD pass. Kevin Butler had a 94 yard TD run while Tyrell Judson had an interception, fumble recovery, and a 51 yard TD run. Capping off the win was Elijah Pearson with a 37 yard TD run late in the fourth quarter. Below are notes from the contest.

Piscataway is looking to reach a sectional final for the third year in a row,, and will be renewing acquaintances with an old foe from the old Mid-State Conference in Bridgewater-Raritan. Â The Chiefs come into the game with a 7-2-1 record while Bridgewater comes in at 5-5. Â P-Way won its first round game against another old Mid-State foe, Watchung Hills (21-0) while the Panthers knocked off second seeded Ridge (22-21). Â The winner facee top seeded, second ranked, and undefeated Elizabeth, which beat Franklin 24-7 in the other semifinal on Friday night.
First Quarter
