PISCATAWAY, NJ–On Tuesday night, GMC Hoops traveled over to Piscataway High School after work to catch the final 10 plus minutes of the GMC Red Division contest between the Chiefs and the Old Bridge Knights. OBHS got 73 percent of its scoring from senior forward Sultan Aminu (21 points) and junior guard Tyler Drews (19 points) to defeat PWay by the score of 55-43. The Knights led 36-23 at one point late in the third, and with 3:47 to go before the Chiefs put together a 12-4 tear over a span of just 2:06 to pull within five at 48-43 with 1:46 to go. However, the home team couldn’t get any closer as Old Bridge got a huge basket from Aminu with 1:20 to play, and then 5 of 6 free throws in the last 53.4 by Drews and Jordan Marrero to seal the hard fought win. Jo Jo Hoover and Elijah Murray-Tucker each led P-Way with 10 points.
