GMC Hoops Slideshow–February 22, 2013–#7 Piscataway vs. #1 J.F. Kennedy–GMCT Girls Final

Here is a slideshow from photos taken of action from the last three quarters of play between 7th seeded Piscataway and top seeded J.F. Kennedy in the 2013 GMCT Girls Championship at the Rutgers Athletic Center. Kiki Bynes hit an off-balanced shot with 19 seconds to go to lift seventh seeded Piscataway past top seeded, and previously undefeated, J.F. Kennedy, 43-41. Bynes, who was selected tournament MVP, ended up with 13 points on the night. Kennedy battled throughout, especially in the second half. Trailing 30-20 midway through the third period, the Lady Mustangs embarked on an 11-0 run over a span of six minutes to take a 31-30 lead. Brittany Washington led JFK with 6 points during the run. There would be four lead changes and a tie over the final 6:19 of the contest. Kennedy had a couple chances to win in the final 6.7 seconds, but committed a turnover with 3.3 seconds left, and then after getting a steal, the Lady Mustangs came up short on a three attempt from the right wing as time ran out.
