Four GMC Teams Competing In Eight Team Field At SPHS This Week
SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–On Wednesday, GMC Hoops received information on the 2013 Anthony Cotoia Holiday Tournament at South Plainfield High School over the holidays. Eight teams are competing in this event including four from the Greater Middlesex Conference: J.P. Stevens, Monroe, Perth Amboy, and South Plainfield. Three other conferences in addition to the GMC will be represented including the Colonial Valley Conference, Shore Conference, and Skyland Conference. Opening round play starts on Friday, December 26th with second and final round action on Saturday, December 28th and Monday, December 30th.
Losers on Friday’s opening round contests will be placed in a loser’s bracket while the winners will advance to the semifinals on Thursday. Game times on each day will be 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 5:30 PM, and 7:30 PM. Below is the schedule for the first two rounds:

- Consolation: J.P. Stevens-Perth Amboy loser vs. South Plainfield-Middletown South loser, 12:00 PM
- Consolation: Monroe-Hunterdon Central loser vs. Immaculata-Ewing loser, 2:00 PM
- Semifinal: J.P. Stevens-Perth Amboy winner vs. South Plainfield-Middletown South winner, 5:30 PM
- Semifinal: Monroe-Hunterdon Central winner vs. Immaculata-Ewing winner, 7:30 PM

- 7th Place Game: 12:00 PM
- 5th Place Game: 2:00 PM
- 3rd Place Game: 5:30 PM
