Seeding and Play-In Round Games Take Place Later This Week
SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–While the winter of 2013-14 has been brutal, it has also gone by quite quickly. It seemed only yesterday, we were starting another year of high school hoops. Now, the regular season is winding down, the state tourney cutoff is looming, and now the 2014 Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament will be getting underway with the seeding meeting later this weekend followed by the Play-In Round games on Saturday, February 15th at the higher seeded teams. Below is the schedule for the upcoming GMCT (Weather permitting!):
2014 Greater Middlesex Conference Boys Basketball Tournament
- February 15th–Play-In Round Games at higher seeded teams
- February 18th–Preliminary Round Games at higher seeded teams
- February 20th–Round of 16 Games at higher seeded teams
- February 23rd–Super Sunday–GMCT Elite Eight–Quarterfinals at Middlesex County College
- February 25th–GMCT Final Four–Semifinals at South Brunswick HS–Game Times are 5:30 and 7:00 PM
- February 27th–GMCT Championships at Rutgers–Girls Final at 6:00 PM and the Boys Final at 8:00 PM
2014 Greater Middlesex Conference Girls Basketball Tournament
In addition to the boys, the Girls GMC Tourney also begins this week with Play-In Round Games on Saturday. Below is the schedule for the Girls GMCT:
- February 15th–Play-In Round Games at higher seeded team
- February 17th–Preliminary Round Games at higher seeded team
- February 19th–Round of 16 Games at higher seeded team
- February 22nd–Super Saturday–GMCT Elite Eight–Quarterfinals–at Middlesex County College
- February 24th–GMCT Final Four–Semifinals at South Brunswick HS
- February 27th–GMCT Championships at Rutgers–Girls Final at 6:00 PM and the Boys Final at 8:00 PM
GMC Hoops plans to be at the seeding meeting later this week, and will post brackets for both the GMCT boys and girls tourneys.
