Here are highlights of the action in the opening round game in the Central Jersey Group I State Tournament between GMC Blue Division rivals, Metuchen and Middlesex. The Blue Jays jumped out to an 18-8 first quarter lead thanks to 6 points by Marcus Evans-Little and 5 points from Jarret Bogus including the 1,000th of his career. Middlesex stayed very much in control of the game until the fourth quarter when Metuchen trimmed a 12 point lead down to four with 1:35 left (48-44). The Blue Jays would ultimately prevail though by scoring the last 9 points of the contest for a 57-44. Evans-Little and Bogus both shared the game high with 15 points for the Jays while Evan Collier led Metuchen with 14 points.
