Here are highlights of the action in the Group I State Championship at Rutgers University between Bloomfield Tech and Pitman on Sunday night. After falling behind 20-18 with under two minutes to play in the first half, Pitman embarked gon a decisive 15-0 run that lasted several minutes into the third period for a 33-20 lead. From there, the Panthers cruised to a 59-48 victory. The win gave Pitman its first state crown since 1998. Tim Delaney led the Panthers with a game high 20 points while Darnell Foreman chipped in with 18, and Tyler Wisniewski added 10 points. Dachon Burke led Bloomfield Tech in a losing cause with 15 points while Devin Jones chipped in with 12. Pitman advanced to the 2014 Tournament of Champions to play Group IV state champ, Linden in the quarterfinals.
