RAHWAY, NJ–On Tuesday night after work, GMC Hoops traveled over to Rahway High School to see the tail end of the first game in its tripleheader at the 2014 Rahway Summer League between two GMC teams: Sayreville and Perth Amboy Tech. Sayreville led 32-26 with under five minutes to play. Â
Amboy Tech did have some chances to score, but went 0 of 5 from the foul line down stretch. Â Kyrie Byers missed a three attempt after the Patriots pulled to within four earlier on a layup. Â Mike Valentin put the game away with a layup at the 1:31 mark and two fts with 1:01 left. Â Zach Alessi then capped the game ending 6-0 run with two fts with 30 seconds left for the 38-28 win.
