Here are highlights from the action between J.P. Stevens and Rahway at the Rahway Summer League on the 2nd Tuesday of July 2014. The Hawks, led by soon to be seniors, Francois Ballou and Nick Dooley, gave the hometown Indians a good fight, but gave way to the hosts thanks to three point plays at the 7:13 and 4:17 marks of the second half to take a 42-32 lead. JPS did put together a 6-0 run that closed the gap to 42-38 with under two minutes to play, but couldn’t get any closer than that as Rahway won, 45-41. Forwards Nick Dooley and Francois Ballou stood tall for the Hawks in defeat.
