OB Hoops Running Skills Development Summer Camps in July

Two Sessions to be Held at Carl Sandburg Middle School from July 6th to 17th

OLD BRIDGE, NJ–On Saturday afternoon, GMC Hoops received word from Old Bridge boys basketball head coach, Jim Macomber that OB Hoops will be running two sessions of Skills Development Summer Camps during the weeks of July 6th to July 10th and July 13th to July 17th at Carl Sandberg Middle School (the old Madison Central High School). The camps will feature two very prominent guest speakers in legendary St. Anthony’s boys basketball head coach, Bob Hurley, and shooting guru Dave Hopla. Hurley will speak on the final day of the first week, July 10th while Hopla will speak on the final day of the second week, July 17th.

OB Hoops camps is all about kids and their desire to learn the fundamentals of the game of basketball while having fun. A typical day at the camp will include:

  • Camp Drop-Off
  • Warm-ups
  • Teaching Stations
  • Games
  • Lunch
  • Skills Development Lecture
  • Skills Competitions
  • More Games

OB Hoops camps are open to boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 17 years old or entering 3rd to 12th grade. Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt and there will be an award ceremony for winners of skills competitions. Camp Tuition is $200.00 per week ($400 for the two week sessions), but you can receive a $50.00 discount for each week for an early bird special (so if you go each week, and register early, you will only pay $150 per week, or $300.00).
