Here is a slideshow of photos from the two 5:00 PM games on the final day of action at the 2015 Montgomery Team Camp. Both of these contests involved teams from the GMC: Middlesex and Spotswood.
In the first game, Middlesex was taking on West Windsor-Plainsboro South in a classic battle of little school versus big school. Middlesex was trailed 34-21 with less than 14 minutes to go. The Jays did manage to pull within 11 at 36-25 thanks to a 4-2 run, but they were unable to get any closer as the Pirates got a layup and then a three pointer to take a 41-25 lead with about seven minutes to play. From there, West Windsor Plainsboro South outscored Middlesex by a margin of 18-10 the rest of the way to come away with a 59-35 victory. WWPS then finished the night with a victory over Ridge to end up 2-0 on the day.
Then, in the second game, Spotswood was taking on Ridge’s JV team since the Red Devils varsity squad was playing up at the 2015 Linden Team Camp this week. Despite not having big man, Matt Ciaccio in the lineup, the Chargers were still a tall order for the relatively inexperienced Junior Devils. Spotswood, led by Eric Dadika and Marlon Hart, rolled to a 75-37 lead with 7:41 to play, and cruised from there for an 86-45 victory as the Chargers scored 11 of the last 19 points. J.T. Vento and Dadika had scores down the stretch for Spotswood to help wrap up the win.
