SOUTH AMBOY, NJ—On Friday night, GMC Hoops traveled over to South Amboy Middle/High School to take in the final two games of the evening at the 2015 Raritan Bay Summer League. In the nightcap of the GMC Hoops doubleheader, South Amboy took on Koinonia Academy. After yielding a three pointer to the Seraphs for a 3-2 Koinonia lead early on, the Guvs, led by Kehare Ford, who had four points and two steals, went on a 9-2 run for an 11-5 lead at the 16:14 mark. Koinonia Academy battled for much of the half, and only trailed 17-13 with 4:26 left in the first half, but South Amboy scored 10 of the last 16 points of the half, and outscored Koinonia by a 21-7 margin in the second half for a 48-26 victory.
