COLONIA, NJ—After a brief respite, GMC Hoops took in the third game of the Colonia JV Summer League Playoff tripleheader at CHS with the Championship Game between two GMC Red Division rivals, Perth Amboy and Old Bridge. The Panthers jumped out to an 11-0 lead thanks in part to a couple scores by Dario Demoria, but Old Bridge, led by Connor Freel rallied back with 14 unanswered points including a three by Freel for the lead. From there, the game was tightly contested, went back, and forth, and needed overtime before Freel scored on a layup off his own miss with 22 seconds left for a 40-38 OBHS victory.
