Old Bridge Falls to St. Anthony’s in Quarterfinals
JERSEY CITY, NJ–On Monday night, GMC Hoops traveled over to Hamilton Park in Jersey City after for some quarterfinal action at the 2015 Hamilton Park Summer League playoffs. Old Bridge, the lone GMC representative in the league, took on state and national powerhouse, St. Anthony’s in the third quarterfinal match-up of the day during the 7:00 PM hour. The game was delayed by about a half an hour due to other games running a bit behind. Old Bridge gave a valiant battle, but eventually fell in defeat to the Friars. After taking a 9-6 lead early in the second on a three by Connor Romano, Old Bridge gave way to a 13-0 St. Anthony’s run, and never recovered. Romano ended up with 12 points while Stephen Strom chipped in with 8. Below are all of the results from the action:
