Playing without varsity standouts, Eric Savage and Mike Ugarte, the Vikings still managed to get off to a good start by scoring 8 of the first 10 points, and eventually building a 48-29 lead behind the three point shooting of Danesh Thirukmaran (4 three pointers) and Chris James (4 threes as well). Neptune didn’t quit though as they stepped up the defensive pressure to force turnovers and chip away at the deficit before James sank a three with 4:24 remaining to give SBHS enough breathing room in a 51-45 victory. The Vikes finished 2-2 at the SPTS.
