Here are highlights from the action between Sayreville and Colts Neck. During the 8:00 PM round of games at the 2015 Hoop Group Headquarters Fall League on Monday night, Sayreville took on Colts Neck, a team that reached the Central Jersey Group IV Semifinals last season including a victory over North Brunswick in the quarterfinals.
The Bombers, which have been playing without junior big man, Jahsim Floyd, who is playing football this fall, fell behind early by the score of 21-0 before scoring at the 8:27 mark of the first half. Sayreville wasn’t able to recover after that as Colts Neck played like a well oiled machine en route to a 60-31 victory.
Henny Manutes, Mitchell Strandberg, and Andrew Gay stood out for the Bombers, especially in the second half when Sayreville outscored Colts Neck by a 26-22 margin to make the score respectable.
