BOUND BROOK, NJ–On Tuesday night, GMC Hoops wrapped up day four holiday tournament coverage by taking in the 2015 Bound Brook Crusader Classic Championship Game between Spotswood and Bound Brook. Looking to avenge last year’s last second loss in overtime, Bound Brook jumped out to an 18-4 lead, led 30-15 at the half, and had a 43-29 lead early in the fourth quarter before Spotswood rallied with an 18-6 tear capped by a jumper from Marlon Hart and a breakaway layup by Andrew Fuzesi to close the gap to 49-47 with under 2 minutes to play.
The Crusaders were able to hang on though for the nailbiting 57-56 win by making 8 of 10 from the foul line down the stretch. Anthony Perez collected a triple-double as he and Najee Williams led the Crusaders with 15 points while Darius Brown chipped in with a double-double including 13 points. Marlon Hart led all scorers with a game high 21 points for Spotswood while Eric Dadika chipped in with 17. Bound Brook improved to 4-0 with the win while Spotswood fell to 4-1 with the loss.
