GMC Hoops Game Notes–South River @ #9 Spotswood–GMC Crossover–February 1, 2016

SPOTSWOOD, NJ–On Monday evening, GMC Hoops traveled out to Spotswood High School for the contest between the 9th ranked Chargers and neighborhood arch rival, South River. The Rams jumped out to an 11-3 lead thanks to six points by Matt Pietrzyk. Spotswood then went on a 24-2 surge that included several threes by Eric Dadika, who had 4 treys in the first half, and several scores by Marlon Hart including his 1,000th career point at the 1:07 mark. Leading 40-26 at the half, the Chargers open the third with an 8-0 spurt over the first 50 seconds for a 22 point lead. Spotswood led by as many as 28 points in the second half before South River made the game more respectable in a 78-62 Chargers win. Dadika finished with a game high 27 points while Hart added 19, and J.T. Vento chipped in with 15. Mario Nigro led the Rams in defeat with 20 points while Pietrzyk added 14 and Derrick Whitaker chipped in with 13. Below are game notes from the action:
