PISCATAWAY, NJ–On Friday night, GMC Hoops traveled out to the Timothy Christian School to take in the Gold Division contest between the Tigers and first place Amboy Tech. Led by Robert Saydee, Tyler Mixson, Will Clemmons, and A.J. Mhya, the Tigers jumped out to a 12-4 lead midway through the first period. From that point on, Perth Amboy Tech, led by juniors Pedro Gonzalez and Eric Negro out scored TCS by a 59-37 margin to post a 63-49 victory and move one step closer to winning the GMC Gold outright. Gonzalez finished with 17 points while Negro added 13. Saydee led Timothy Christian with a game high 18 points. Below are game notes from the action:
