Here is a slideshow of photos from the fourth period of the GMC Hoops JV Game of the Week between J.F. Kennedy and Bishop Ahr in North Edison. Freshman Bendji Pierre’s talents were on full display in the fourth quarter as Kennedy’s JV rallied from a 37-30 deficit for a 49-42 victory.
Pierre scored down low, in transition, and even from the perimeter when he stroked a three pointer from the left side to put Kennedy in front for good. After giving up the first two baskets of the fourth quarter on a foul line jumper and a steal for a layin to trail by seven, the JV Mustangs scored 19 of the last 24 points of the contest for the win. Pierre scored 11 points in the fourth while Rishi Patel added a layup while Rohan Chakke added a baseline jumper and two free throws in the fourth quarter rally as well.
