EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ–In the final game of the first day of action played at Hammarskjold Middle School in the 2016 East Brunswick Team Camp, East Brunswick II took on Roselle Park.
In a very competitive game that went down to the wire, East Brunswick overcame a 26-19 early second half deficit with a 15-4 tear over a span of over four and a half minutes to take a 34-30 lead on a jumper by Mitchell Pingoy.
The Bears then scored four of the next 6 for a 38-32 lead, but Roselle Park battled back with an 8-0 run including two threes to retake the lead, and from there the game was a seesaw battle until almost the very end. EB had a 50-49 lead with 1:38 left, but Roselle Park got a three and then added a late layup to help secure a 56-52 victory. Below are game notes from the action:
