Middlesex Defeats Bridgewater at Bound Brook
BOUND BROOK, NJ–On Monday night, GMC Hoops traveled down to the Bound Brook Recreation Center to take in the final two games of the evening at the 2016 Bound Brook Summer League. One of those games involves Middlesex, one of the four GMC teams playing in the league.
The Blue Jays took on Bridgewater, and after a back and forth first half, Middlesex got the last two points of the first half, and the first five points of the second half to take a 25-18 lead. The Jays continued to pull away with a 7-0 run to increase its lead to a dozen at 36-24, and eventually led by as many as 13 before winning by ten.
Earlier in the night, Hunterdon Central and Ridge went at it in a clash of two Skyland Conference teams. Ridge trailed 44-31 with under 8 minutes to play, but clawed to within five with 1:45 remaining before the Red Devils got a pair of free throws and hung on for the seven point win.
