East Brunswick Tech Looking to Three-Peat at Somerset Tech Holiday Tourney
BRIDGEWATER, NJ–On Monday, GMC Hoops received information on the 2016 North Jersey Tech Tournament including the teams competing and schedule. The tournament actually got underway on Monday with a first round matchup between Morris Tech and Manville.
Another two first round match-ups will be played on Friday, December 23rd between Warren Tech and Somerset Tech at 1:30 PM followed by Sussex Tech and West Caldwell Tech at 3:30 PM. East Brunswick Tech, the defending two time tourney champs, got a first round bye.
The second round will commence on Wednesday, December 28th with games at 9:30 AM, 11:30 AM, and 1:30 PM. The third and final round will be played on Thursday, December 29th with games scheduled for 9:30 and 11:30 AM. Below is the breakdown of the holiday tourney schedule:
2016 North Jersey Tech Tournament–First Round–Day One–December 19th
- Morris Tech vs. Manville, 5:30 PM (Manville won, 52-44)
2016 North Jersey Tech Tournament–First Round–Day Two–December 23rd
- Warren Tech vs. Somerset Tech, 1:30 PM
- Sussex Tech vs. West Caldwell Tech, 3:30 PM
2016 North Jersey Tech Tournament–Second Round–December 28th
- Consolation, 9:30 AM
- Semifinal: Somerset Tech vs. Manville, 11:30 AM
- Semifinal: West Caldwell Tech vs. East Brunswick Tech, 1:30 PM
2016 North Jersey Tech Tournament–Third Round–December 29th
- Consolation: East Brunswick Tech vs. Manville, 9:30 AM
- Championship: West Caldwell Tech vs. Somerset Tech, 11:30 AM
