Here are video highlights from the last 10:30 of the game between Cardinal McCarrick and Monroe in a White Division showdown at the new Monroe Township High School. The Eagles took a 19-2 lead in the first half, but Monroe rallied to pull within six with 2:30 to go in the third.
After an 11-5 run put McCarrick up 51-39 with 5:25 to go, the Falcons rallied with an 18-8 run that included a three pointer by Ryan Genevieve, a follow by Victor Sorrento, two blocked shots by Chuka Onukwugha, and three free throws by Genevieve after being fouled on a three point attempt with about 20 seconds to go.
Leading 59-57 with 8.9 seconds left, the Eagles got one of two from the line by Jumanne McDaniel, and then Marques Townes blocked a shot by Sorrento as time expired for the 60-57 victory. Townes ended up with 18 points along with Genevieve.
